Board of Directors

Joseph is a graduate of Yeshiva University and Fordham University Law School. 

After making aliyah in 2000, he worked for three years as Director of International Sales & Development for a family software business. 

He founded Leket Israel  in 2003 after witnessing significant food wastage in Israel at a time of rising poverty.

Joseph’s vision and steady hand have led the organization from a simple, one-man operation to Israel’s largest food rescue organization.

He is married to Leelah, has five children and enjoys biking, traveling and spending time with his kids.

Ms. Diana Bogoslawsky is an economist with a wealth of knowledge and experience in agriculture and management. She worked as a representative at Mizrahi Bank in Argentina and later served as Director of the Economic Department in Brit Pikuach, the largest accounting firm that serves Kibbutzim.

Ms. Bogoslawsky is the former CEO of Zemach, a NIS 2 billion company in northern Israel, where she led the merger of “Zemach Regional Industries” and “Shaan Regional Industries.” She is also the former Chairperson of Yacham, Israel’s largest root vegetable producer, a cooperative company of Kibbutzim and Moshavim in the South as well as former Executive Director at Taavura Holdings.

Mr. Avi Hochman was the CEO of ISS Israel, and served as President & CEO of Gaon Holdings Group LTD and as President & CEO of Israeli Postal Company Corp.

Avi also served as CFO of Netafim LTD., Executive Vice President & CFO, Netia Holding SA (NTIA) and Vice President & CFO of Bezeq, The Israeli Telecommunications Corp., there he was also acting CEO in 1997.

 

In her previous position in the IDF, Dorit, who holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel was the Commander of the Yigal Alon Center for Education (Mihve Alon). Throughout her service the majority of the positions she held were in the field of education, in different corps, mainly the Education Corps.

Dorit has management, training and leadership skills, the ability to run large and complex projects and to motivate and lead teams.  She has extensive and unique experience in working with populations with unique needs (such as new immigrants, minorities, intellectually handicapped and populations from low socio-economic backgrounds). She holds a MA in Management and Leadership in Education (Tel Aviv University, Executive Program for Principals), and a BA in Administration, Education Policy and Jewish history from Bar Ilan University.

Dorit is married with 4 children.

Mr. Asher Levy has been the Chief Executive Officer of Orbotech (Nasdaq ORBK) since January 2013.

Prior to this, for over 2 decades he served in various senior management positions at the company, including Executive Vice President for Business and Strategy, President of the Printed Circuit Board Division, and President of Orbotech Pacific Ltd during which time he was relocated to Hong Kong.

Before joining Orbotech, Mr. Levy worked for Digital Equipment Corporation.  Mr. Levy is a graduate of the advanced management program at Harvard Business School.  He holds an MBA from Tel Aviv University and a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering & Management from Ben-Gurion University in Israel.

Mr. Stephen Provisor is a qualified CPA in the UK and Israel.  Since 2002, he has managed a multi family office in Israel.

Stephen is a member of the board of a number of private and public companies and is involved with a number of philanthropic organizations, some at the board level and some as a participating volunteer.

Dr. Kolodny was appointed CEO of the Keter Group, the world’s leading resin consumer goods company, in November 2016, after having served as CEO of the international activities of the Group since joining in 2013.  Between 1994 and 2013, Dr. Kolodny held various positions at McKinsey & Company, including as a director and senior partner from 2007 until 2013. Dr. Kolodny has also served on the Board of Directors of Sodastream since 2015. 

Dr. Kolodny received a B.A. in computer science from Harvard College and a Ph.D. in cognitive neuroscience from the University of Cambridge.

Shachar Minkove lives in New Rochelle with his wife Stephanie and 3 children. He is a senior analyst at Napier Park Global, investing in performing and distressed corporate credit. 

Prior to joining Napier Park, Shachar spent 12 years at JP Morgan in various roles in addition to launching a new fund for Perry Capital.

Shachar joined the Board of American Friends of Leket Israel in 2012 and has chaired several of the organization’s gala dinners. Shachar also serves as a board member at the Young Israel of New Rochelle.

Mark works in the Boston headquarters of Linguistic Systems, Inc. as a vice president of business development and has more than 30 years of language services (e.g. translation), legal industry and US and international public records experience.  Mark works with large US law firms, corporations and government agencies.

 

Rabbi Brenner J. Glickman is delighted to serve as the senior rabbi of Temple Emanu-El in Sarasota.

After growing up in Los Angeles and Maine, Rabbi Glickman graduated with honors from Amherst College in Massachusetts and the Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati. Rabbi Glickman served for eight years in Houston, Texas, at Congregation Beth Israel, before coming to Sarasota in 2006.

Under Rabbi Glickman’s leadership, Temple Emanu-El is a warm, vibrant, and spiritual congregation. In his ten years, the temple has grown from 230 families to 550 families, becoming the fastest-growing congregation in the entire region. The temple has received national honors for its innovative programs, and Reform Judaism magazine recently named it among the friendliest and most welcoming congregations in North America.

Rabbi Glickman is also active in the greater community. He has served as president of the Sarasota-Manatee Rabbinical Association, and served on the board of the Jewish Federation. He presently devotes his energy as a leader of the All Faiths Food Bank, having chaired both the Capital Campaign and the Philanthropy Committee.

Rabbi Glickman and his wife, Rabbi Elaine Rose Glickman, met during their rabbinic studies in Jerusalem. They are the proud parents of three kind, beautiful and brilliant children.

Michael Rader joined the Board of American Friends of Leket Israel in 2018. 

Mike is a shareholder with Wolf, Greenfield & Sacks, P.C., where he specializes in patent litigation and trials before federal district courts, the International Trade Commission, and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board of the United States Patent Office.  Mike heads Wolf Greenfield’s New York office.

Rob Schwartz lives in New York City, with his wife Erica and 6 children. 

Rob Schwartz is the Managing Member of Cooper Creek Partners Management LLC.  Prior to founding Cooper Creek Partners Management LLC in 2008, Mr. Schwartz spent six and a half years at JL Advisors, LLC. From August 2000 to October 2001, Mr. Schwartz was an Associate in investment banking at Banc of America Securities focusing on the retail sector.

Mr. Schwartz is an Officer at Kehilath Jeshurun, where he chairs the Investment Committee.

Mor Soued lives in Englewood, NJ with her husband Alphonse and 3 children.  She has hosted many parlor meetings and small local events in Englewood for American Friends of Leket Israel.  Mor is also an active member of her community and has served in a wide variety of lay leader roles in her synagogue, Congregation Ahavath Torah, her children’s schools, and other nonprofit organizations.

Mor first got involved in Leket in 2016, when a close friend was being honored at their dinner.  Leket’s strong message and amazing work really struck a chord with Mor and Alphonse and they have been involved with the organization ever since.  Mor is proud and excited to be a member of the American Friends of Leket Israel Board.
