Leket: Its Biblical
We take the Biblical commandment of “Leket” seriously. God commands in Lev. 23:22
“When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not wholly reap the corners of your field when you reap, nor shall you gather any gleaning from your harvest. You shall leave them for the poor and for the stranger: I am the Lord your God.”
We practice this Biblical commandment in modern Israel by harvesting food from Israel’s fields and from partners in the IDF and business to provide for Israel’s poor.

Our Key Staff
It was such a simple idea, take from those who are wasting it and give it to those who need it.
I never imagined we would be here 18 years later able to feed hundreds of thousands of Israelis each week.
I am proud of this small group of 100 staff and volunteers.
They make the food rescue operation happen and give it to those who really need it.
It is a real blessing to be part of Israel’s story.
I really believe Leket Israel allows us to be part of God’s plan and his redemptive work in Israel.
